IT Change Manager

As the IT Change Manager at Vitality, you will be responsible for overseeing the IT Change and Service Transition teams, working closely with IT Operations, Architects, Project Managers, BAU support teams, and 3rd party service providers to ensure adherence to the IT Operational Change Management Policy and processes across all environments.
Key Responsibilities- Define Policy and Standards: Develop and maintain policy and standards for Change workflows, ensuring alignment with ITIL4 best practices.
- Assess and Mitigate Risks: Assess Change impacts and risks, making informed decisions on behalf of the business to minimize undesired consequences.
- Develop Change Strategy: Define strategy for the change function, ensuring effective transition of major changes to existing services or the launch of new services.
- CTO/CIO Sign-Off: Obtain CTO/CIO sign-off for engagement across Health and Life.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate audits and identify mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Escalation Point: Act as an escalation point for Change requesters, approvers, and business stakeholders, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Third-Party Relationship Management: Manage relationships with 3rd party service providers, ensuring accountability and effective communication.
- Forward Schedule of IT Changes: Publish and manage a consolidated forward schedule of IT changes affecting the UK business.
- Group Technical and Business Change Advisory Board: Oversee and develop the weekly Group Technical and Business Change Advisory Board meetings, including preparation and publication of meeting papers to all Vitality UK businesses.
- Change Conflicts: Engage with senior managers to resolve change conflicts and ensure effective communication.
- Failed Changes and Unauthorized Changes: Govern failed changes and unauthorized changes, enforcing the completion of Post Implementation Reviews and following up on remediation actions.
- Change Process Induction: Ensure induction training of the Change Process for new starters, ensuring full adherence to policies and procedures.
- Service Improvements: Drive service improvements within the change function, ensuring effective transition of IT services.
- Quality Control: Ensure Quality Control (Service Readiness / Service Acceptance) for all IT services.
- Transition of New and/or Changed Services: Take accountability for the transition of new and/or changed services into BAU, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Internal Security and Technology Standards: Ensure all processes comply with internal security and technology standards.
- Cross-Functional Teams: Provide oversight and direction to cross-functional teams involved in the transition of services into production.
- ITIL Foundation/Practitioner Qualifications: Possess ITIL Foundation and Practitioner qualifications.
- ITIL Service Transition Certification: Hold ITIL Service Transition certification.
- 5+ Years in IT Change Management: Have 5+ years of experience in IT Change Management.
- Significant IT Experience in the Insurance Sector: Possess significant IT experience in the insurance sector.
- Working Knowledge of MS Office: Have working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with experience in Project and Visio.
