Dyslexia Support Professional

A supportive SEN teaching assistant is required to work at a secondary school in London, UK.
Key responsibilities:
• Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) methods such as PECs and Makaton to encourage effective communication with students who have high-functioning Autism and moderate learning difficulties.
• Collaborate with students on a 1:1 or small group basis to deliver personalized support and promote engagement in lessons.
• Assist class teachers and other support staff in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Preferred qualifications: Manual Handling, Hoisting, and Team Teach training. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a strong understanding of the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
