About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified individual to take on the role of Academic Leader in one of our children's homes. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong leadership skills, a passion for working with children, and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of staff and working closely with the Head of Care to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained. They will also have the opportunity to pursue a fast-track Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership in Health and Social Care for Children.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is looking to develop their leadership skills and make a real difference in the lives of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of staff and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained
  • Working closely with the Head of Care to develop and implement care plans
  • Pursuing a fast-track Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership in Health and Social Care for Children
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in the home
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the home

Requirements:

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for working with children and promoting their welfare
  • Knowledge of the Children's Home Regulations and Ofsted Requirements
  • A valid driving license
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
