About Us

At Brinscall Care, we are dedicated to providing high-quality, therapeutic residential care to children facing complex challenges due to adverse childhood experiences. Our mission is to create a safe, nurturing, and healing environment where children feel secure, valued, and capable of growth.

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our team as a Therapeutic Residential Care Team Manager. This role requires a resilient leader who is committed to making a lasting impact in children's lives and dedicated to fostering professional growth in a collaborative setting.

The Role

As a Therapeutic Residential Care Team Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining standards aligned with our Statement of Purpose, upholding trauma-informed practices, and meeting regulatory requirements. You will lead by example, empowering both staff and young people to thrive through compassionate guidance and teamwork.

You will oversee individual care plans, ensuring each young person's social, emotional, and health needs are regularly reviewed and met. You will also consult with young people on their care experience, promoting their active participation, and collaborate with parents, carers, and professionals to safeguard and support young people's well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee individual care plans, ensuring each young person's social, emotional, and health needs are regularly reviewed and met.
  • Attend planning and review meetings to contribute positively toward the best outcomes for each child.
  • Act as a key worker, providing direct support, guidance, and positive role modeling.
  • Promote standards of care in line with Quality Standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose.
  • Consult with young people on their care experience, promoting their active participation.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and professionals to safeguard and support young people's well-being.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential childcare or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a therapeutic residential care setting, preferably with children aged 8-18 years old.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and multi-agency teams.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to deliver high-quality care.
  • Able to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins when required.

Benefits

  • An estimated salary range of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Annual leave entitlement.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Free parking on site.
  • Opportunities for career progression and professional development.

Note

  • Brinscall Care is an equal opportunities employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
  • Responsibilities may be adjusted based on the needs of the organisation and individual professional development.
