Job Title: Senior Residential Care Manager

About the Role:

Nugent is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Residential Care Manager to join our team at Riverbank Cottage. As a Senior Residential Care Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall daily operations at Riverbank Cottage, working with children and young people in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct line management to a small number of Childcare Workers.
  • Develop and implement care and risk plans based on individualised children's needs in partnership with referring authorities, therapeutic services, senior management, and education settings.
  • Model best practice in terms of providing high-quality care for young people.
  • Be well-versed in children's homes legislation, regulations, and inspection framework, in order to support the safe and effective delivery of care.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma for residential childcare (or equivalent).
  • Experience of working with electronic care records and auditing processes within the care system.
  • Excellent administration and IT skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including first-rate literacy and numerical skills.
  • Knowledge of current childcare legislation, specifically related to children in care, and working knowledge of the Ofsted Inspection Framework for Children's Homes and Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
  • Significant experience of working within a childcare setting (ideally residential).
