About the Role

Moonbug Entertainment seeks an experienced Director of YouTube to oversee platform content strategy for all our brands. The primary goal is to define strategy for cross-platform business models to support business objectives of growing viewing and revenues across video and music on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other self-serve distribution platforms.

Moonbug is behind some of the world's biggest kids' entertainment brands, including CoComelon and Blippi. Our content is available on more than 150 video platforms globally, including Netflix, Disney+, BBC iPlayer, and YouTube Kids. We are also a global leader in pre-school music and audio experiences, available on 100+ audio platforms globally.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in team management and development in a fast-paced environment, with experience in content strategy and platform relationship management on YouTube and other platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop commercial distribution, content, programming, and operations strategies for all self-serve platforms.
  • Turn strategy into planning with the Vertical Platforms and YouTube teams, taking accountability for plan delivery against content performance and commercial targets.
  • Work closely with the Moonbug Studio and Production teams to identify optimal editorial approaches.
  • Manage and develop team structure and individual reports' objectives and annual development plans.
  • Partner with other parts of the Platforms & Music function to maximise achievement across all areas of the business.
  • Own understanding of and reporting against the self-serve distribution business model and market, worldwide.
  • Interrogate data to deliver actionable insights and strategies for growth.
  • Organise and lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders to present strategy, planning, and performance updates.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in team management and development in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in content strategy and platform relationship management on YouTube and other platforms.
  • YouTube Certified, with a deep and current knowledge of the YouTube platform.
  • Knowledge of YouTube Content ID and paid advertising a major plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for building revenue forecasts and budgets.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
