Public Health Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Health Specialist to join our 0-19+ Service in Cheshire East. As a key member of our integrated team, you will work collaboratively with individuals, groups, and communities to promote public health and well-being.
The successful candidate will manage a caseload of universal and targeted families, supporting the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme. This will involve working closely with other agencies to safeguard children and meet their needs.
A strong knowledge of clinical governance, risk management, audits, and professional codes is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to work independently as part of a team.
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: Cheshire East

Requirements
- RN (Adult or Child/RSCN) or RM qualification
- BSc/Public Health Nursing - Health Visiting or equivalent degree
- V100 Nurse Prescriber qualification
- Motivational Interviewing training
- Solihull Approach training
- Promotional Interviewing training
- Experience managing a Health Visiting caseload
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Leadership experience in assessment, planning, and evaluation of care
- Integrated working experience
- Proficiency in using email, internet, and word processing software
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding issues
