Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Financial Assistant to join our team at Health Jobs UK. As an Accountancy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the capital investment process for the New Hospital Build and associated capital charges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist support in respect of capital investment relating to the New Hospital Build and associated capital charges.
  • Manage the Trust Asset Register, ensuring it is updated accurately for new hospital build and associated leases, revaluations, and asset disposals.
  • Produce annual depreciation values, working with the Management Accounts Team to discuss revenue budgets and phasing.
  • Run monthly depreciation process within finance ledger using the Fixed Asset Module, providing details of variances against budget.
  • Complete monthly reconciliations for new hospital spend between the Fixed Asset Module Software and the Finance Ledger, ensuring they are in balance.
  • Coordinate annual revaluation process, providing district valuers with changes to estate and ensuring responses are documented and justified.
Requirements
  • AAT Qualified or studying towards a professional accountancy qualification.
  • Previous experience in a Finance Function, able to operate in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, ability to critically evaluate financial data, and good communication skills.

The estimated salary for this position is £35,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
