About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at Ultra, a leading provider of innovative solutions for the defence and aerospace industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects throughout the project life cycle, ensuring timely and responsive completion of deliverables in accordance with business strategy, standards, process, and policy.
  • Create and maintain Project Management Plans, ensuring effective project execution and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop and maintain project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and project Communications Plans.
  • Identify and engage stakeholders, developing strategies for effective stakeholder management and communication.
  • Manage and control project costs, ensuring adherence to project budget and financial management.
  • Report and present project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to Senior Management Team.
  • Manage project scope, ensuring delivery within defined time, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Identify and perform integrated change control, ensuring project continuity and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Facilitate communications between key internal department resources, including Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
  • Acquire, develop, and manage project team resources, ensuring effective team performance and stakeholder engagement.
  • Mediate problems/issues encountered by project team members, escalating to programme manager as necessary.
  • Manage external-facing customer relationships, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Support Procurement to establish and maintain key supplier relationships, ensuring effective supply chain management.
  • Conduct risk management planning, identification, analysis, and response planning, ensuring project risk mitigation and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Ensure project records are maintained and made available in accordance with project management processes and company policies.
  • Deliver projects in line with Ultra contract and quality requirements, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and project success.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Holds or can obtain a Project Management qualification (PMI, APM, or global equivalent) - we can provide support for this if needed.
  • Desirable for education of Bachelor's degree level or equivalent project experience.
  • An action-oriented person who drives results with strong customer focus.
  • Strong communicator with excellent leadership skills.
  • Highly ethical behavior, instilling trust and demonstrating and promoting Ultra values.
  • Proficient in planning and schedule management.
  • Competent in:
    • Conflict management and communication.
    • Governance.
    • Resource and capacity management.
    • Business case generation.
    • Financial management and controls.
    • Risk management.
    • Procurement and subcontract management.
    • Stakeholder management.
