Project Manager Opportunity at McBains

McBains is seeking an experienced Associate Project Management professional to join our dynamic Project Management team in Maidenhead.

We are looking for a self-motivated and confident individual with a minimum of 3+ years' experience in managing multiple projects and clients within the education and healthcare sectors.

The ideal candidate will have extensive pre- and post-contract experience, knowledge of working with local authorities, national government bodies, and healthcare Trusts, and be comfortable with UK travel as part of this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver projects on a day-to-day basis
  • Engage with clients and develop, grow, and maintain client relationships
  • Develop and implement project management strategies and delivery
  • Establish effective processes and systems for project utilization
  • Produce cost plans, feasibilities, and optioneering
  • Assess, track, and report on change management
  • Manage risk processes and value management
  • Work with the supply chain and implement effective procurement
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and designers
  • Manage sub-consultants and construction managers
  • Attend and chair meetings
Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience
  • Excellent verbal, numerical, and report/proposal writing skills
  • Excellent people skills and communication, both with client teams and team-based
  • Commercially astute with good negotiation skills
  • Flexible and able to work to deadlines
  • Ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects and different stages of delivery
  • Conversant in large project delivery (up to £100m)
  • JCT and NEC experience
  • BTR experience
  • Experience working within a multi-disciplinary organization
  • Assisting in the development of new business opportunities with existing and new clients
  • Identifying and acting upon cross-selling opportunities
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
