About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team and provide care for Saadia, a young girl with complex needs. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring Saadia's physical and emotional well-being, and supporting her family in their care-giving responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Saadia with all aspects of her care, including personal care, medication administration, and PEG feeding.
  • Monitor Saadia's skin integrity and report any concerns to the Case Manager.
  • Transport Saadia to therapy sessions and activities, and assist with physiotherapy and hydrotherapy as guided by the Case Manager and Therapist.
  • Accompany Saadia's family on holidays and provide support as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with complex medical needs, including Cerebral Palsy and PEG feeding.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Saadia and her family, using a combination of verbal and non-verbal communication methods.
  • Patience, tact, understanding, warmth, and compassion when interacting with Saadia and her family.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What We Offer
  • A competitive hourly rate of £17.00-£19.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Ongoing training and support, including The Care Certificate.
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata.
  • Free enhanced DBS check.
