About the Role
ILS Case Management is seeking a dedicated and caring Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our client, Saadia, who requires assistance with her daily needs due to her complex medical condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Saadia with all aspects of her care, including personal care, mobility, and medication administration.
- Monitor Saadia's skin integrity and report any concerns to the Case Manager.
- Accompany Saadia to therapy sessions and participate in physiotherapy and hydrotherapy as guided by the Case Manager and Therapist.
- Administer medication and change Saadia's PEG button as required.
- Assist with transporting Saadia to and from activities and appointments.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to ensure high-quality care is provided.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with complex medical needs, particularly cerebral palsy and PEG feeding.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with patience, tact, understanding, warmth, and compassion.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Valid enhanced DBS check and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
- References, including your last employer.
About Saadia
Saadia is a young girl who requires ongoing care and support due to her complex medical condition. She enjoys playing with her dolls, watching eye shadow tutorials online, and participating in activities with her family. Saadia's favorite activity is baking and celebrating special occasions with her loved ones.
