Job Title: Support Worker for Complex Needs

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at ILS Case Management. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our client, Saadia, who has complex medical needs and requires assistance with daily living activities.

About Saadia

Saadia is a young girl with Cerebral Palsy, who requires a high level of care and support. She is a wheelchair user and PEG fed, and has a range of medical needs that require careful management. As a Support Worker, you will work closely with Saadia's family and our team of healthcare professionals to ensure that her needs are met and that she receives the best possible care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Saadia with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
  • Support Saadia with her mobility and transfers, using her wheelchair and other equipment as needed.
  • Monitor Saadia's skin integrity and report any concerns to our team of healthcare professionals.
  • Assist Saadia with her communication needs, using her communication device and other strategies to support her.
  • Participate in Saadia's therapy sessions, including physiotherapy and hydrotherapy.
  • Accompany Saadia and her family on holidays and outings.
Requirements
  • Experience working with individuals with complex medical needs and Cerebral Palsy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Saadia and her family.
  • Strong observational and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
  • Valid DBS check and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
