Job Summary

The Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group is seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to fill the role of Patient Administrator. This position will be responsible for providing administrative support to the clinical team, ensuring the smooth operation of the office, and maintaining accurate records.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the clinical team, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and preparing correspondence.
  • Ensure the office is well-organized and equipped with necessary supplies, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient information, medical histories, and treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, both verbally and in writing.
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient office operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare or administrative setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
