Glasgow, Glasgow City, United Kingdom NHS National Services Scotland Full time
About the Role

NHS National Services Scotland is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the McMillan Head and Neck Clinical Nurse Specialist team in the Institute of Neurological Sciences, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

This is a fixed-term position for 1 year, due to the expansion of the OMFS oncological service. The team provides a specialist nursing service to support patients with head and neck cancer in an outpatient, inpatient, day care, and community setting.

The post holder will have extensive head and neck nursing knowledge and expertise in supporting patients with head and neck cancer throughout the disease trajectory, from diagnosis, through treatment, cure, or palliation.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, providing and facilitating effective care and treatment for patients and their significant others.

The post holder will provide a supportive specialist nursing service to support a caseload of patients with head and neck cancer in an outpatient, inpatient, day care, and community setting.

NHS National Services Scotland encourages applications from all sections of the community and promotes a culture of inclusion across the organisation.

The organisation is reducing its full-time working week from 37 hours to 36 hours, with a corresponding reduction for part-time staff. This change will be implemented from 1 April 2024, and the post holder may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period.

The use of artificial intelligence (AI), automated tools, or other third-party assistance to generate, draft, or significantly modify responses is strongly discouraged.

For application portal/log-in issues, please contact Jobtrain support hub in the first instance.
