This is a fixed-term 1-year position, requiring a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in head and neck cancer care. The successful candidate will join the McMillan Head and Neck Clinical Nurse Specialist team at the Institute of Neurological Sciences in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

The team provides specialist nursing services to patients with head and neck cancer across outpatient, inpatient, daycare, and community settings. As an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, the post holder will provide effective care and treatment for patients and their significant others.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and expertise in head and neck nursing, with the ability to support patients throughout their disease trajectory, from diagnosis to treatment, cure, or palliation. Key responsibilities include providing expert care, facilitating effective treatment, and advocating for patients and their families.

The post holder will be an innovator, change agent, consultant, teacher, supervisor, and researcher, contributing to the development of best practices in head and neck cancer care. A supportive specialist nursing service will be provided to patients with head and neck cancer in various settings.
