NHS Scotland is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the McMillian Head and Neck Clinical Nurse Specialist team in the Institute of Neurological Sciences, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Job Summary

This is a fixed-term position for 1 year, with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. The post holder will provide a specialist nursing service to support a caseload of patients with head and neck cancer in an outpatient, inpatient, day care, and community setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert nursing care and support to patients with head and neck cancer throughout the disease trajectory.
  • Work as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team to provide effective care and treatment for patients and their significant others.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to head and neck cancer care.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have extensive head and neck nursing knowledge and expertise, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
