StokeonTrent, Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom GSL Education Full time

GSL Education is a reputable education recruitment agency committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We are currently seeking an experienced Support Worker to join our team in Stoke-on-Trent.

As a Support Worker, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Primary and Secondary phases. Your primary responsibility will be to assist pupils with challenging behavior, implementing strategies to manage their behavior, and providing a positive role model to promote nurturing support.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEN, specifically those with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and Challenging Behavior. You will need to be proactive, patient, and able to de-escalate volatile situations. If you have personal experience working with challenging behavior, mental health, or autism, we encourage you to apply.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to build strong relationships with colleagues, pupils, and parents. You will also need to be organized, flexible, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.

We offer a competitive salary range of £85 - £90 per day, depending on your experience. In addition, you will receive a £100 referral bonus for every successful referral made to us.

To ensure a smooth application process, please note that all candidates must undergo a DBS check, which we can assist with if necessary. We also require two professional references as part of our vetting process.

If you are passionate about supporting children with SEN and want to make a positive impact in their lives, please submit your application today.
