Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Calibration Expert to join our team at BAE Systems. This is an exciting opportunity for you to utilize your expertise in electrical metrology to deliver high-end calibrations and repairs on various electrical test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment.

About the Role

As a Senior Calibration Engineer, you will be responsible for performing complex calibrations, developing calibration procedures, and ensuring compliance with quality standards such as ISO 17025. You will also provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • Essential: Experience working in precision electrical calibration/metrology laboratory environments, understanding of quality systems & standards (ISO 17025/ISO 9001), and relevant academic qualifications (STEM Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent)
  • Desirable: Existing UKAS signatory status for Electrical Calibration, experience in creation of measurement uncertainty budgets to ISO 17025 level, and experience in use of automation software (Fluke Metcal, Met/Track, Met/Teams, Labview)
