Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled High Voltage Calibration Expert to join our team in Barrow-In-Furness. As a High Voltage Calibration Expert, you will be responsible for performing high-level calibration and repair of electrical test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) capable of making AC/DC voltage, current, resistance, inductance, capacitance, and time & frequency measurements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write, review, and approve calibration procedures and measurement uncertainty budgets for TMDE
  • Take part in UKAS (ISO 17025) audits and quickly achieve UKAS signatory status for Electrical Calibration
  • Deliver on-the-job training/experiential learning to apprentices/lesser-experienced team members on the use of automation software (Fluke Metcal, Met/Track, Met/Teams, Labview)
  • Professional communication with technical stakeholders, including consultation on new measurement technologies

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need extensive experience in a precision Electrical metrology laboratory environment, a strong understanding of quality systems & standards (ISO 17025/ISO 9001), and relevant academic qualifications (STEM Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent). We offer a competitive salary of £75,000-£100,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
