We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Calibration Expert to join our team at BAE Systems.

About the Job

This is a challenging and rewarding role that offers opportunities for career growth and development. As a Principal Calibration Expert, you will be responsible for performing and supervising high-level calibration/repair of electrical test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). You will also write, review, and approve calibration procedures and measurement uncertainty budgets.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a precision electrical metrology laboratory environment, a strong understanding of quality systems & standards (ISO 17025/ISO 9001), and relevant academic qualifications (STEM Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent).

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and supervise high-level calibration/repair of electrical TMDE.
  • Write, review, and approve calibration procedures and measurement uncertainty budgets.
  • Take part in UKAS (ISO 17025) audits and achieve UKAS signatory status.

You will also be responsible for delivering specific, target-driven on-the-job training/experiential learning to apprentices/lesser-experienced team members and professional communication with technical stakeholders, including consultation on new measurement technologies.

We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including a pension scheme, enhanced annual leave, and a Company Contributed Share Incentive Plan.
