Precision Metrology Engineer

Job Summary
ZipRecruiter is seeking an experienced Precision Metrology Engineer to join our Calibration department. As a Precision Metrology Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality calibrations and repairs on a wide range of electrical test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE).
Salary:
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £40,000+ per annum depending on skills and experience. You'll also enjoy a range of benefits, including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance, and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-end calibrations and repairs on TMDE
- Deliver on-the-job training/experiential learning to team members and apprentices/graduates
- Deputise for the ICS Electrical team leader whenever required
- Participate in quality audits achieving UKAS signatory status
Requirements:
- Experience working in a precision electrical calibration/metrology laboratory environment
- Understanding of quality systems & standards (ISO 17025/ISO 9001)
- Relevant academic qualification (STEM Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent)
