Laing O'Rourke is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Specialist to join our in-house specialist stone contractor, Vetter UK.

The successful candidate will be responsible for actively engaging and communicating with our Clients and Consultants to obtain detailed project information and confirm their awareness of our business interests in new opportunities.

Key responsibilities will include managing our CRM database, developing Opportunity Development Plans, attending external business meetings, and representing Vetter at external functions and events.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, good time management and planning skills, and a strong IT skills for presentations, report writing, and proposals preparation.

They will also be committed to WIN and support principles of both the local business and the wider The Power of One business objectives.

As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for seeking out horizon opportunities, updating our website, and managing our social media messaging on LinkedIn.

They will also be required to work closely with other work-winning functions to assist with or manage the bid process.

Key skills and experience required include excellent communication skills, good time management and planning skills, and a strong IT skills for presentations, report writing, and proposals preparation.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a commitment to improving performance and accepting increased responsibility.

They will also be enthusiastic and able to work as part of a winning team.
