About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Revenue Collection Specialist to join our team at Middlesbrough Council. As a key member of our revenue team, you will play a crucial role in maximizing cash collection and providing excellent customer service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of customer contacts, ensuring all cases are dealt with to conclusion in accordance with statutory regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Utilize effective verbal and written communication skills to negotiate with customers and resolve disputes.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve revenue collection targets and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in customer service, debt recovery, and revenue collection.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work with customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
