Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Rota Coordinator to join our team at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation, implementation, and management of junior doctor rotas within the medicine division.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and approve annual and study leave for medical staff to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Plan and initiate locum acquisition to meet service needs, ensuring seamless coverage.
- Produce duty rotas, taking into account staff availability and skill sets.
- Maintain accurate financial and attendance records, providing valuable insights for management.
- Liaise with the Training Department to facilitate study leave requests and ensure compliance with regulations.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- GCSE Level or equivalent in English, demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, to manage administrative tasks efficiently.
Experience:
- Previous experience working in the NHS, with a background in a fast-paced environment.
- Administrative experience, with a focus on scheduling and coordination.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to liaise with medical staff and management, building strong relationships and trust.
- Problem-solving and report production abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Additional:
- A positive and flexible attitude towards workload management, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to work outside normal hours, as required, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Proficient in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
