Medical Recruitment Specialist

This role provides support to our medical divisions, covering the end-to-end recruitment process for all grades of medical staff. The successful candidate will have opportunities to gain experience in various medical staffing work tasks, including temporary staffing processes, junior doctors in training processes, and other project work.
Main Responsibilities- Oversee the recruitment process for all medical vacancies within a specific clinical division.
- Provide cross-cover for other Recruitment Officers within the Medical Workforce team.
- Identify vacant posts and work with Recruiting Managers to raise vacancies.
- Support Recruiting Managers with planning of shortlisting, interview, and offer stages.
- Process on-boarding of all doctors.
- Issue contracts, amendments to contracts, and standard employment letters.

Person SpecificationEssential Qualifications
- Education to A-Level standard or equivalent experience.
Essential Skills
- Prioritise own workload and work to defined timescales.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- IT literate.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of staff, with tact and diplomacy.
Desirable Skills
- Influencing skills.
- Report writing skills.
- Advanced IT skills.
Essential Knowledge
- Knowledge of the work of a human resources department.
- Knowledge of NHS/Medical & Dental terms and conditions of service.
- Working knowledge of Equal Opportunities legislation.
- Knowledge of GDPR and importance of maintaining confidentiality in an HR environment.
- Ability to deal with all issues sensitively and in a confidential manner.
Desirable Knowledge
- Knowledge of medical career structure and Medical and Dental Terms and Conditions.
- Knowledge of Recruitment Practices.
Essential Experience
- Experience of office procedures/equipment.
- Experience of providing first-line advice regarding recruitment and selection processes, best practice, and legislative requirements.

- Experience of working within a human resources, recruitment, or medical staffing department.
