Recruitment Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Recruitment Officer to join our Medical Workforce team at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end recruitment process for all medical vacancies within a specific clinical Division, as well as providing cross-cover for other Recruitment Officers within the team.
Key Responsibilities- Identify vacant posts and work with Recruiting Managers to raise vacancies.
- Support Recruiting Managers with planning of shortlisting, interview, and offer stages.
- Identify vacancies from our Doctor in Training post and maintain changeover records of all incoming and outgoing rotational doctors.
- Process on-boarding of all doctors.
- Issue contracts, amendments to contracts, and standard employment letters.

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have:
- Education to A-Level standard or equivalent experience.
- Able to prioritize own workload and work to defined timescales.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- IT literate.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of staff, with tact and diplomacy.
The following qualifications and skills are desirable:
- Influencing skills.
- Report writing skills.
- Advanced IT skills.
- Knowledge of the work of a human resources department.
- Knowledge of NHS/Medical & Dental terms and conditions of service.
- Working knowledge of Equal Opportunities legislation.
- Knowledge of GDPR, and importance of maintaining confidentiality in an HR environment.
The post is advertised as a part-time job share of hours, with 3 days per week. The standard days are Thursdays and Fridays, with the third day negotiable. The successful candidate will be required to be flexible with working hours and location.
