Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Market Surveillance Officer to join our team at Rev & Regs. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing trade data to identify potential market abuse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing in-depth analysis of trade surveillance alerts to identify suspicious behavior
  • Calibrating and tailoring monitoring systems to optimize alert generation and reduce false positives
  • Providing reliable market intelligence to senior management on market abuse governance and control framework
  • Assisting with enquiries and audits relating to market abuse framework
  • Supporting the annual market abuse risk assessment (MARA) process
  • Tracking actions arising from board and governance meetings or other ad-hoc meetings
  • Preparing training materials on market abuse, market conduct, and financial crime
  • Implementing system changes to comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practice
  • Evaluating exceptions and incidents arising from market abuse monitoring

About the Role:

  • Experience in market surveillance or compliance monitoring is essential
  • Knowledge of LME environment is desirable
  • Interest in financial markets, data analysis, and compliance is required
  • A graduate degree in a STEM field is preferred
  • Ability to learn technical aspects of market surveillance is necessary
  • Strong report writing and documentation skills are essential

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £80,000 FTE and a flexible working arrangement, with 4-5 days per week spent in our City of London office.
