Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Building Performance Director to join our team at Integral UK. This is a key role that requires strong technical knowledge and excellent leadership skills.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the high standard of building performance and operational risk across all services, including mechanical, electrical, vertical transport, and public health systems.

You will ensure consistent, seamless, and efficient standards are met to enable the operations facilities team to focus on their core business.

The role involves developing and implementing robust asset management frameworks, such as ISO55001, to deliver engineering excellence.

You will also be responsible for the development of engineering policies, strategies, and implementation plans that meet the building needs and exceed occupier expectations.

In addition, you will have experience in delivering sustainability improvements through energy-efficient projects and strategies, and be comfortable with statutory compliance, health and safety risk management, and sustainability requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage the Design for Performance/Sustainability Manager and the Building Performance Manager
  • Lead in energy management strategy for the building, ensuring it operates at optimum performance and energy is closely managed and reported on
  • Maximize energy efficiency by creating and overseeing the implementation of short and long-term projects and strategies
  • Develop and implement procedures, standards, and guides for building performance and operational excellence
  • Effectively manage allocated service partners and their contract performance, including monitoring contract administration and driving operational improvements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Preferably professionally registered (IEng or CEng) or working towards this
  • Preferably HNC or Degree in Building Service Engineering or relevant engineering subject
  • Preferably equivalent minimum 10 years' experience at technical engineering management level
  • Ability to communicate technical subjects to non-technical customers and team members
  • Ability to produce technical reports
  • Extensive mechanical, electrical BEMS, and SMART buildings services knowledge

We offer a competitive salary of £75,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.
