Business Development Director

Barclay Meade, a leading defence services business, is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to join its growing Commercial Management team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Commercial Contract Management, preferably within aerospace and defence contracting, with a strong understanding of MOD terms and conditions.
Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop and negotiate new and existing customer contracts from cradle-to-grave. Key responsibilities include:
- Bid and Tenders: Supporting bid activities, negotiating commercial terms and conditions with new/existing projects, including change management and scope creep.
- Day-to-Day Contract Management: Managing day-to-day contract activities, reviewing commercial contracts to highlight risk, liabilities, and areas to maximise profit.
- Risk Management: Collaborating with stakeholders across Bids, Sales, Projects, Engineering, and other departments to manage commercial and contractual risk.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial contracts and the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
