Strategic Development Director

VIVID Housing is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Development Director to lead the delivery of its new homes programme.
Job DescriptionThis is a full-time, permanent role working 37 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs and procuring the delivery of Build Contracts from a Client's perspective for VIVID's primary land-led developments.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee project budgets, cost control, and financial reporting on all current live projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered within budget and on time, providing regular reporting on Value for Money.
- Work with Employers Agents to procure Contractors for the New Build programme, establishing appropriate contracts and ensuring compliance with new and future legislation.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks associated with projects, developing strategies to minimize financial exposure.
- Manage the tendering process in collaboration with others, preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts with Main Contractors.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Development Manager or Project Manager, preferably within the housing or social housing sector.
- Strong commercial delivery acumen and analytical skills, with excellent negotiation and contract management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

SalaryThe estimated salary for this role is £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
