About the Role

DP World Logistics is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive our sales process, review inbound leads, build a strong sales pipeline, and ensure potential customers are a good fit for our services. This is a remote, field-based opportunity that requires a full UK driving license and vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development by identifying, researching, and qualifying new leads.
  • Ensure that sales qualified leads (SQLs) are converting to opportunities and supporting sales pipeline growth.
  • Oversee sales pipeline growth via high volume of outbound cold calls, emails, and social selling.
  • Identify client needs through assessing their current fulfillment setup and using discretionary judgment to assess if they are a fit for our business model.
  • Schedule demos with potential customers and Onboarding Managers.
  • Achieve daily activity requirements through outbound merchant contact and accurately track customer interactions in the designated customer relationship management (CRM) tool.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement across sales operations and make recommendations to executive leadership for streamlining process.
  • Consistently exceed monthly and annual quota.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years successful experience as BDM in a related industry.
  • Efficiency in identifying profitable business opportunities and potential clients.
  • Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain strong client relationships and establish industry partnerships.
  • Market knowledge: Advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies, and brand expansion.
  • E-commerce savviness: Exceptional knowledge and understanding of e-commerce fulfillment and small and medium-sized market (SME).
