Pharmacy Distribution Manager Job Opportunity

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacy technician to lead and manage our pharmacy distribution service. As a key member of our technical services team, you will be responsible for managing our responsive medicines storage and supply service, contributing to the ongoing review and strategic development of this service, and innovating and implementing service development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the training and professional development of our team of pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support staff.
  • Develop and implement service development initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our pharmacy distribution service.
  • Contribute to the ongoing review and strategic development of our pharmacy distribution service, including the implementation of Good Distribution Practice.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve service goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician with excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Experience in leadership and managing change, with a strong working knowledge of Good Distribution Practice.
  • Proficient in the use of IT systems, with the ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
