Lead Software Development Engineer in Test

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Automation Lead to join our team at La Fosse. As a key member of our QA team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust QA strategy, leading and mentoring a growing QA team, and driving automated testing using Playwright, Puppeteer, Cypress, and Jest.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success.
  • Drive automated testing efforts, leveraging tools such as Playwright, Puppeteer, Cypress, and Jest to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Implement Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber/Gherkin to ensure effective communication between stakeholders and developers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless CI/CD integration, leveraging tools such as GitHub/GitHub Actions and Azure.

**Requirements:**

  • Strong background in both manual and automated testing, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Proven experience in leading QA teams, with a focus on developing and implementing effective QA strategies.
  • Expertise in JavaScript testing frameworks, with a strong understanding of Playwright, Puppeteer, Cypress, and Jest.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate QA strategies and results to stakeholders.

**Compensation and Benefits:**

This role offers a competitive salary of £90K to £100K, plus a 10% bonus, and a hybrid working arrangement that allows for a balance of remote and in-office work.
