Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for compiling costings and ROM estimates for new and established finished products, ensuring timely and accurate completion of product costings. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Compile costings and ROM estimates for new and established finished products.
  2. Verify product manufacturing capability and seek best value material prices.
  3. Request quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors and negotiate as necessary.
  4. Analyse supplier minimum order quantities and impact on costing.
  5. Work closely with buyers and liaise with other relevant departments as required.
  6. Present outcomes of costing to management at bid reviews.
Requirements:
  • Results orientated with attention to detail.
  • Good commercial awareness and organisational skills.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work to deadlines.
  • Relevant experience in a similar costing/admin role.
  • Experience of contacting and negotiating with suppliers.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems.
Working Hours and Salary:

Full-time, Monday to Friday, with a salary of £13.50 per hour.

The contract is initially for 3 months, but could be longer for the right candidate.
