As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing administrative and secretarial support to the education department, ensuring the smooth operation of the office and the delivery of high-quality education services.
Key Responsibilities- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the curriculum management team and tutors, including developing and maintaining an efficient and effective administrative office.
- Data Management: Accurately input and analyze learner data on spreadsheets or databases, including setting up simple spreadsheets or databases and providing accurate data reports.
- Paperwork and Records: Check and ensure that all paperwork and learner records are accurate and audit compliant for processing.
- Communication: Type memos, letters, reports, and other communications, including drafting replies to general enquiries and taking accurate minutes of meetings.
- Resource Management: Check, process, and record all resource orders and help source appropriate suppliers for resources.
- Customer Service: Deal with telephone calls and visitors, as well as answering general enquiries into the department, liaising with key contacts in a positive and professional manner, providing information as requested, and acting as a crucial point of contact.
- Staff Management: Maintain and report staff absence and leave records.
- Experience: Experience in an administration or secretarial role, with experience in processing and data-entry, and highly competent with Excel.
- Education: Experience in a similar role in an education setting is desirable.
- Skills: A calm and patient demeanor, with enthusiasm, resilience, and a humanistic approach.

This role may involve work with under 18's or vulnerable adults, and any appointment will be made subject to strict vetting and screening checks and receipt of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
