We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Prison Education Administrator to join our team at Dovetail and Slate Ltd. As a key member of our education department, you will provide administrative support to our education provision in a male prison.
About the Role:The Prison Education Administrator will be responsible for providing administrative and secretarial support to the education team, including developing and maintaining an efficient and effective administrative office. This will involve accurately inputting and analyzing learner data, checking and ensuring that all paperwork and learner records are accurate and audit compliant, and undertaking general administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:- Accurately input and analyze learner data on spreadsheets or databases, including setting up simple spreadsheets or databases and providing accurate data reports.
- Check and ensure that all paperwork and learner records are accurate and audit compliant for processing.
- Typing memos, letters, reports, and other communications, including drafting replies to general enquiries and taking accurate minutes of meetings.
- Undertake general administrative duties and implement office procedures and processes, including filing and organizing learner and staff records, and ensuring the confidentiality of these.
- Check, process, and record all resource orders and help source appropriate suppliers for resources.
- Deal with telephone calls and visitors, as well as answering general enquiries into the department, liaising with key contacts in a positive and professional manner, providing information as requested, and acting as a crucial point of contact.
- Maintain and report staff absence and leave records.
- Experience in an administration or secretarial role.
- Experience with processing and data-entry.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and highly competent with Excel.
- Experience in a similar role in an education setting (desirable).
- Have a calm and patient demeanor.
