Child Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Child Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Edgeware Community Hospital in CAMHS Inpatient General adolescent unit from 13 – 18 years old. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing psychiatric assessments, developing effective treatment plans, and coordinating care packages for young people with complex mental health problems.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will have a valid GMC registration, a minimum of 6 months paid experience in the NHS/UK, and a strong passion for improving healthcare outcomes in adolescents. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and patients will be essential in delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric assessments, including risk assessment, and treatment for adolescents admitted to the Day service and Inpatient Service
- Work with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to provide assessments and appropriate treatment for all patients
- Contribute to the development of evidence-based, effective, and agreed care plans
- Coordinate clinical liaison with clinicians in other Tier 3 services and other agencies
- Participate in the planning, distribution, and allocation of clinical tasks
Working Arrangements:
- Location: Edgeware
- Hours per week: 37.5 hours per week
- Salary: £100.00-£130.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
