About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Communications Hardware Assistant to join our team at Wessex Water. As a key member of our IT Procurement team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our communications hardware services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and resolve incidents related to mobile communication devices
  • Process and fulfill service requests for mobile communication devices
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve telemetry faults
  • Recommend and implement standard mobile communication devices
  • Set up and configure mobile communication devices
  • Maintain and update the CMDB and asset management systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and implement process improvements
Requirements
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • At least three years' experience in an IT support role
  • Knowledge of IT service management best practices, such as ITILv3 or 4
