Audit and Accounts Senior Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit and Accounts Senior to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for providing a full suite of audit and accountancy support to a diverse client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review statutory accounts, management accounts, and VAT returns.
  • Lead audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Manage workflow and ensure client expectations and deadlines are met, promoting a culture of excellence and customer service.
  • Support with general accountancy services and business advice, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, promoting and striving for customer service excellence.
  • Support the firm's growth by identifying new service lines for clients, driving business development and expansion.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a reputable firm of accountants, working with a diverse and loyal client portfolio in Essex and across the UK. As an Audit and Accounts Senior, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides a full suite of financial services, tailored to meet the needs of a wide range of business sectors.

Requirements:
  • ACA or ACCA qualified with previous practice experience.
  • Previous experience within a client-facing role, with strong communication and advisory skills.
  • Good knowledge across accountancy systems, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word.
  • A proactive problem-solver, self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail, a team player able to bring out the best in others.
