Audit and Accounts Senior Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit and Accounts Senior to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented professional to work closely with clients, support junior staff, and drive business growth.

The successful candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified with previous experience within practice, possessing strong communication and advisory skills, as well as a proactive problem-solving approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a full suite of audit and accountancy support to a varied client portfolio.
  • Preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts, and VAT returns.
  • Leading audit engagements from planning to completion.
  • Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients.
  • Manage workflow and ensure client expectations and deadlines are being met.
  • Support with general accountancy services and business advice.
  • Build trusted relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Promote and strive for customer service excellence.
  • Support the firm's growth by identifying new service lines for clients.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as required.

The experienced team provides a full suite of financial services, providing tailored support across a wide range of business sectors.

Requirements:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified with previous practice experience.
  • Previous experience within a client-facing role.
  • Good knowledge across accountancy systems.
  • Adept at using Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Strong communication and advisory skills.
  • A proactive problem-solver.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail.
  • A team player able to bring out the best in others.
  • Enthusiastic to build on existing skillset, learning from an experienced team.
