Senior Audit Manager Job Description

This is a senior-level audit management position that requires a high degree of technical expertise and leadership skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing audits for clients from planning to completion, mentoring and supporting the audit team, and working closely with the general accountancy team and corporate tax arm of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute audits for clients, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Mentor and support the audit team, providing guidance and coaching to ensure their professional development.
  • Collaborate with the general accountancy team and corporate tax arm to deliver integrated audit services.
  • Monitor client deadlines and ensure that they are met, while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Support the Directors in driving company growth and development.
  • Assist with target setting and department budgeting, ensuring that the audit team is aligned with the firm's strategic objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to add value to clients' portfolios and promote the department's services through networking and business development activities.
  • Champion the firm's values within the audit team, promoting a positive and inclusive culture.
  • Provide professional client-facing communication skills, ensuring that clients receive exceptional service and support.
Requirements:
  • ACA, ACCA, or CA qualified with extensive practice experience.
  • Significant experience leading complex and large audits, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • A leader of people, with the ability to coach, mentor, inspire, and monitor development.
  • Self-motivated and reliable, with a drive to progress and develop within the firm.
  • Technically efficient in audit, with commercial acumen and a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build and maintain great client relationships.
