Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service on the Isle of Wight.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical psychology assessments and interventions, working closely with families, carers, and other agencies to deliver high-quality, client-centred care.
This role involves working collaboratively with the Consultant Psychologist to develop and implement psychological care pathways, ensure they align with best practices across our South Coast partners, lead on quality improvement initiatives, and support the Clinical Leadership Team in implementing change projects.
The successful candidate will also have opportunities to supervise trainee clinical psychologists, contribute to research, and engage in teaching through our strong links with the University of Southampton's Doctoral Clinical Psychology course.
Key Responsibilities:
- To grow clinical skills relating to psychological approaches in the service through teaching, case discussion, and supervision.
- To contribute to policy and service development, addressing areas of need and undertaking change initiatives.
- As a senior psychologist, to support the strategic and leadership role of the Consultant Clinical Psychologist by holding delegated responsibility in key areas of service development, workforce development, and quality assurance.

Job Requirements
- Doctoral-level training in clinical psychology as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
- Registration with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner (Clinical) Psychologist.
- Professional knowledge acquired through doctoral training, supplemented by post-qualification short specialist courses and further specialist training/clinical supervision.
- Formal post-qualification training in clinical supervision of other psychologists or equivalent experience.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of £62,215 to £72,293 per annum, based on full-time hours, and a comprehensive benefits package, including access to ongoing professional development opportunities, generous annual leave entitlement, and a supportive work environment.
