Salary Information

Job Description
This exciting opportunity seeks a highly skilled Principal Psychologist to join our Adult Mental Health Specialty at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality assessments, formulations, and interventions, while empowering and guiding a team to achieve excellence in psychological care. You will also contribute to the development of new psychological services in the Borough and participate in service planning teams as appropriate.
Main Duties of the Job
- To provide psychological services to adults in the population served by the Community Mental Health Team.
- To provide teaching, training and supervision of the psychological work of psychologists and other disciplines.
- To contribute to the development of new psychological services in the Borough and participate in service planning teams as appropriate.
- To participate fully in the professional activities of the Adult Psychology Specialty and the Gwent Psychology Service.

Qualifications
- Psihcology Degree (or equivalent conversion) conferring eligibility for graduate basis of registration with BPS.
- Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (or equivalent).
- Advanced level of clinical expertise in AMH.
- Experience across the lifespan.
- Experience of service leadership.
