About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our team in Blackburn. As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of families and children, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of families and children, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.
- Conduct assessments and reports to identify the needs of families and children.
- Chair meetings with families and other professionals to discuss progress and plan for the future.
- Liaise with other professionals involved in the cases, including education and health services.
- Develop and implement plans to support families and children, including parenting programs and other interventions.
- Work with families and children to achieve the best possible outcomes, including improved relationships and increased confidence.
- Collaborate with other agencies and services to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting families and children.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in social work or a related field.
- 2 years of post-qualifying experience in social work, preferably in a supervising role.
- Current registration with the Social Work England (SWE) register.
- Experience of working with families and children, including conducting assessments and reports.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including the Children Act 1989 and the Care Act 2014.
- Ability to work effectively with families and children, including those with complex needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with other professionals and agencies.
