About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our team in Blackburn. As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of families and children, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of families and children, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.
- Conduct assessments and reports to identify the needs of families and children.
- Chair meetings with families and other professionals to discuss progress and plan for the future.
- Liaise with other professionals involved in the cases, including education and health services.
- Develop and implement plans to support families and children, including parenting programs and other interventions.
- Provide evidence in court to support the best interests of children.
- Take referrals and secure placement planning meetings.
- Achieve the best outcomes for children and families and sustain them in their communities.
- Undertake statutory duties in accordance with National Standards and Regulations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree or equivalent in social work.
- 2 years of post-qualifying experience.
- Current SWE registration.
- Experience in undertaking specialist PAM assessments.
- Knowledge and experience in using the psychodynamic framework as a tool in understanding family dynamics.
- Experience in undertaking parenting programs.
- Experience working in safeguarding.
- Experience in giving evidence in court.
