About the Role:

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a high level of emotional intelligence, patience, and understanding. You will work closely with our young people to promote their independence, self-esteem, and overall well-being. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individualized support and care to children and young people with a range of needs, including challenging behavior, self-harm, and mental health diagnoses.
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Encouraging and supporting our young people to engage in activities, such as education, leisure, and community-based programs.
  • Collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of our young people's progress and experiences.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a similar role in the UK.
  • A Child and Adult DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • Previous experience working with children and young people with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to attend our TMVA (Therapeutic Management of Violence and Aggression) training, medication training, and ligature training.
