About Our Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pastoral Care Manager to join our team at Pontville School, an independent specialist day and residential school providing high-quality education for children with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To lead and manage the pastoral care team in ensuring the emotional and educational needs of our students are met.
  • To work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement individualised plans that promote positive learning environments.
  • To coordinate and provide training for staff on child development, behaviour management, and safeguarding practices.
What You Need to Succeed:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working with children with ASC, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
  • Expertise in supporting and resolving difficulties faced by families in challenging circumstances.
  • NVQ 3 in Care or Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification.
  • Leadership-related qualifications and experience in staff appraisal and performance management are desirable.
