Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Officer to join our team at 2wish. As an HR Administration Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing expert support and guidance across all operational functions.

Main Duties:

  1. Ensure the effective functioning of the HR department, ensuring all responsibilities align with the organisation's standards, vision, and values.
  2. Manage the entire employee lifecycle, from creating job advertisements to providing post-employment support.
  3. Administer and manage the 'HR Inbox', addressing queries and escalating issues to Line Managers for prompt decision-making and resolution.
  4. Maintain accurate HR databases, ensuring staff records are up-to-date and compliant with current UK employment legislation.
  5. Support health and safety regulations by coordinating training and ensuring adherence to legal frameworks governing employment and workplace safety.
  6. Coordinate staff training programs, ensuring completion of mandatory and role-specific training requirements.
  7. Oversee the day-to-day operation of the HR management system, BrightHR.
  8. Assist in preparing monthly payroll instructions for accountants, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  9. Collaborate with the Finance Team to ensure operational expenses are accurately tracked and reported.
  10. Contribute to reviewing and updating charity policies and procedures, supporting continuous improvement of HR practices.
  11. Provide general office administration support as needed.

About the Company:

2wish is a charity that provides support to anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We operate a contributory pension scheme and offer a range of benefits, including an Employee Assistance Program, free parking, and branded clothing.

Salary and Benefits:

Our salary range is £24,000-£26,500 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including an extra annual leave day on your birthday and incremental increase in holiday entitlement based on length of service. You will be entitled to paid sick leave (after qualifying period) and reimbursement of work expenses.

Contract Details:

This role is subject to a DBS check and permanent contract type. Normal office hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, although alternative hours may be worked with line manager agreement. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu.
