The University of Cambridge invites applications for a 3-year Research Associate position in the Atmosphere-Ocean Dynamics group. The successful candidate will have a strong background in atmospheric dynamics and be awarded a PhD in applied mathematics or a relevant area.

The position will be based at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. The aim of the project is to better understand the influence of the Quasi-Biennial Oscillation (QBO) on tropical convection and its potential impact on North Atlantic cyclone activity.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. The duties / responsibilities of this post include developing and driving research objectives, writing up work for presentation and publication, and collaborating with academic partners.
